After almost two decades of touring as a performer:  including Off-Broadway musicals, Guest-Artist teaching residencies, dance and theater companies, non-profit artistic boards and studio ownerships throughout the US and Canada, Blackbird settled in Los Angeles. While on tour, Blackbird teaches different community groups to spread the joy, the love of dance and music, and especially to promote celebration of multiculturality in communities that may not otherwise have the chance to experience such genres or performances.

A family of colorful birds each takes life’s path in their own journey to find out what makes them fly. Using the Blackbird eclectic mixture of Afro-Modern Dance and fusing other cultural forms and original rhythms, it is a beautiful and personal reflection of cultures and relationships. Performed live music and dance- in excerpts or full version. Debuted at Carnival Feb 2014 – excerpt and full version at Hollywood Fringe Festival June 2014.
